EMCOM Systems (a division of Eastwood Microcomputer Services Limited) was founded by the late Peter Eastwood.

Peter, a Chartered Accountant with industrial experience, saw the opportunity to develop professional software for the emerging microcomputer industry.

 

Our first system was installed in 1980.

The computer was a Sord M203 mark 3 which ran a Debtors, Creditors and Stock System.

We have been developing computer solutions ever since and have installed systems to over 500 sites.

Our client base ranges from single user home based operations through to large multiple site businesses.

 

PRACTICE MAGIC

Because of our reputation and experience we were one of the original software developers selected by the Inland Revenue Department when they considered the concept of electronic filing in 1990.

In 1991 the E-File pilot was launched with 21 users.

The pilot series proved successful and E-File went live in 1992.

 

Since then we have continued to develop Practice Magic into a product that we are very proud of.
