What is Practice Magic?

The Practice Magic system is designed to enable Tax Practitioners to prepare and file the majority of their Tax Returns by computer. Once completed, the returns can be forwarded to Inland Revenue either by post, as a C-Series return, or by electronic transmission using the E-File facility offered by Inland Revenue.

The advantages of using Practice Magic are:

Time Saving: Returns are completed significantly quicker, resulting in more efficiencies for you
Faster Turn-around: Electronically filed returns are processed faster through Inland Revenue’s Return Processing Centres than manually filed returns. This means that the job is still fresh in your mind when the assessment comes through. Tax returns are prepared more quickly and your preparation fees can be rendered earlier.
Greater accuracy: Electronic checks are made to ensure that the loaded data is both complete and correct. This minimalizes the chance of getting a surprise when you get back the Assessments.
Easy to use: Practice Magic has easy flowing screens which the return data is presented. This allows fast and accurate data-entry.

Practice Magic Features

Create and E-file Returns: IR3, IR3NR, IR4, IR4J, IR526, IR6, IR7 Returns are available. The Easy flow design enables you to create some returns in less than 3 minutes.
E-Filing: You can now E-File your returns via your internet connection. This allows a fast and reliable access to IRD’s processor. Confirmation reports and Notices of Assessments can also be sent via e-filing within hours of sending a return.
Correspondence: Correspondence can be created and e-filed to IRD either attached to a return or on its own.
Provisional Tax Letters: Practice Magic allows you to print either Provisional Tax Letters or 901DL notices.
Maintenance : Updates and enhancements can be downloaded via the simple internet update feature. This allows you to promptly update your system as soon as a new feature is available. Back ups are fast and simple and can be easily added to your back up procedure if one is in place.

To run Practice Magic:
